This whole journey into wild colours began thanks to one incredibly inspiring book: Make Ink by Jason Logan. It is available from independent bookstores (as well as the usual suspects), and is also stocked by many public libraries -- including (very soon) Quinte West!

If making your own ink has whet your appetite to go further, and try DIYing even more of your art supplies, we recommend The Organic Artist and The Organic Artist for Kids by Nick Neddo.

Missed our October workshop, but want to give natural ink making a try? Several Ontario artists work with natural and plant-based pigments, and also offer workshops.
